Washington Ski Area Opening Dates for 2024-25
The winter skiing season Washington is just around the corner, as La Nia is on its way and several systems are bringing snow to the mountains this week.
The earliest opening date currently is this week, according to several ski resorts.
Listed below are Cascade Ski areas’ 2024-25 opening dates.
Resort Crystal Mountain
Crystal has not yet announced the date of its opening.
Resort at Mission Ridge Ski and Board
Depending on the weather, Mission Ridge could open Saturday and Sunday. During the week of Nov. 29 to Dec. 1, two chairs will be open for operation on Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays. Dec. 7 will mark the beginning of the addition of a third chair.
Three chairs may be used daily by the week of Dec. 16. In the next few days, all chairs should be fully operational. Approximately 18 inches of snow had fallen at Mission Ridge by Monday.

Ski resort at Mount Baker
General admission will be available to the general public on Thursday. Season pass holders will be able to access Mount Baker on Wednesday.
Upon opening of the Heather Meadows base area, Raven Hut Lodge, and Chairs 1-4 and 6, the ski area plans to have the lifts operational by Wednesday.
A move to Chair 5 on the Shuksan side is planned for later Wednesday in the day. White Salmon’s base area might also be open by the weekend if conditions permit.
Snow coverage at Heather Meadows and Pan Dome amounted to 59 and 65 inches, respectively, as of Monday. KING 5’s First Alert Weather Team reports that 12 inches of snow fell on the ski area during the 24 hours ending Monday.
Stevens Pass Ski Resort
Earlier this year, Stevens Pass set December 6 as the target opening date.
Snow base depth data have not been updated by Steven Pass. Snowfall totaled seven inches at the ski area in the 24 hours ending Monday, according to KING 5.
Summit at Snoqualmie
Summit at Snoqualmie has not yet announced an opening date. Ski resort officials said one would be announced as soon as there is enough snow to operate. In most resorts, Summit West is the first area to open.
Alpinetal needs “quite a bit more” snow than Summit West, the resort said. Alpental and Summit West now have 11-inch bases as of Monday.

White Pass Ski Area
Friday will be the opening day for season pass holders at White Pass. Public access will be available starting Saturday and Sunday.
During November 25-28, the White Pass will be closed. Afterward, it will be open from November 29 to December 1. Detailed information about the services available is not yet available.
